Acleris niveana (Fabricius, 1787)
Acleris scotana (Stephens, 1852)
Nationally Notable. Resident. Sometimes locally common by day in a very few deciduous woods in both vice-counties. Double-brooded, flying mainly during July, again from late September to mid November and after hibernation in March and April. Larvae feed on birch in Scotland and this is probably the case in Sussex. (Pratt, 2011).
