Reports of just two Victorian colonies in Sussex, one in salt marsh near Brighton, Shoreham area, and one possibly near Pett, Hastings. The only modern reports concern singles at mv light at Walberton in mid July 1989 and 1996. A specimen identified at Pagham Habour July 2008, similar to those found on Isle of Wight requires confirmation. Elsewhere the moth is single-brooded flying from July to September, with larvae feeding on Chrysanthemum, Hieracium and other compositae spp. (Pratt, 2011).
