Common

Resident. Occurs sparingly in a wide range of habitats in both vice-counties. Sometimes fairly common in deciduous woodland by day and at light at night. Distinctly episodic in numbers. Single-brooded, flying mainly from early February to late March. Larvae feed on oak. (Pratt, 2011).
