Local

A scarce and local resident mainly of deciduous woodland in West Sussex, formerly also in East Sussex but no records there since 1933. Single-brooded, flying mainly from early June to mid-July. Larvae feed on oak, elm, sallow and probably aspen. (Pratt, 2011)
