Common

Resident. Larvae are often fairly common in West Sussex, but are less common in the east. Adults are noticeably less numerous. Perhaps increasing and seriously under-recorded in the east. Double-brooded flying mainly during May and in lower numbers in August. Larvae feed on oak. (Pratt, 2011)
