Local

A resident species, occurring sparingly in a range of habitats in both vice-counties. Apparently only thinly distributed but perhaps under-recorded. Double-brooded, flying mainly in late May into June and again more numerously from mid-July to early September. Larvae feed on the seeds of common knapweed. (Pratt, 2011)
