A resident species, generally occurring singly at mv light in a few places in both vice-counties, although sometimes common at Newhaven. Single-brooded, flying mainly during September and again, after hibernation, from mid-April to early August. Larvae feed on woolly thistle elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011)
