Common

A resident species, whose larvae and adults occur singly or sparingly. Colonies are widespread in the West, but apparently scarce in the East. Increasing. Double-brooded, flying mainly from late April to late May and again from late July to early September. Larvae feed on sloe. (Pratt, 2011)
