Local

A resident species. Larvae usually occur singly or sparingly in a few deciduous woods in both vice-counties. Probably under recorded. Double-brooded, nationally flying mainly during May and June and again in August, but this has not yet been confirmed in Sussex. Larvae feed on alder. (Pratt, 2011)
