An immigrant and episodic resident species occurring sparingly in the north, fairly commonly in central parts, but recently fairly commonly to sometimes very commonly along parts of the coast. Increasing and generally distributed and permanently established since 1976 or 1983. Probably double-brooded in two overlapping emergences flying from mid-May to late June and again more numerously from early August to late October. Larvae have not been found in the region but are known to feed on unspecified grasses elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011)
