A resident species, this moth usually occurs singly, occasionally sparingly, in a wide rang of habitats. Very local and distinctly episodic in appearance. Widespread, but missing from large areas. A single brooded species flying mainly from early September to early October. The larvae feed on lime. (Pratt, 2011)
