Resident. The moth usually occurs singly or sparingly but is occasionally fairly common to common at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Thinly distributed, but very local in numbers. Chiefly single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of May to the third week of July, occasionally from late April or to the third week of August. Larvae feed on unspecified grasses and dock. (Pratt, 2011)
