A resident species usually occurring sparingly, but sometimes commonly, at mv light in reed-beds. Well distributed along the coast from Pevensey to the River Rother and on Selsey Peninsula. Single-brooded flying mainly from second week of July to late August. Larvae feed on common reed. (Pratt, 2011)
