A suspected immigrant and episodic resident which usually occurs singly or sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats generally within a few miles of the coast. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid-July to late August. On the continent larvae feed on lichens associated with oak and poplar. (Pratt, 2011)
