A suspected scarce immigrant to both halves of the county;only once detected in West Sussex. Only ever seen in singletons, although in a wide range of habitats Records average about one a decade. Adults appear mainly between second week of June and late July. Larvae elsewhere feed on fenland grasses. (Pratt, 2011)
