Generally a rare immigrant species, although larvae have occasionally been found. More than a tenth of British adults have been detected in Sussex. These were recorded between 1946 and 2009 and amount to 29 adult insects. Locations include Eastbourne, Arundel, Midhurst, Peacehaven, Rye, Bognor, Walberton, Ferring and Horsham. (Pratt, 2011)
