        »Tribe: Lithosiini

An immigrant and episodic resident which usually occurs singly at mv light in a wide range of habitats, occasionally sparingly. Widespread away from parts of the far west, and probably currently resident, but very irregular in appearance. Said to be single-brooded nationally, in Sussex adults appear in two overlapping flights, the second of which is much more numerous. The moth flies mainly from the second week of July to mid August, and again from the second week of September to mid October. Adults have been seen every week from late June to late October. Larvae feed on unidentified lichens which grow on the branches of oak trees. (Pratt, 2011)
