A resident which usually occurs sparingly but is sometimes common and occasionally even very common at mv light in deciduous woods. Widespread, but high numbers are very local and irregular. Mainly single-brooded, flying chiefly from early June to mid July, occasionally from late May or to late July. Presumed representatives of a partial lsecond emergence were detected on August 18th 2008 at Haywards Heath, September 9th 1933 at Forest Row, September 20th 2008 at Pulborough, and on September 25th and 27th 1997 at Walberton. Larvae feed on Oak. (Pratt, 2011)
