A resident species normally occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in most places. Thinly distributed across East Sussex but only found on or near the Downs in West Sussex. Occasionally common by day in a few favoured spots on the eastern Downs. Single-brooded flying from late May to mid July. Larvae feed on the seed pods of yellow rattle(Pratt, 2011)
