A resident species found throughout the county although declining in central Sussex. Generally occurring singly or sparingly at mv light. Single-brooded flying mainly from late June to the third week of August. Larval food plant not reported in Sussex but willowherb, bilberry and various grasses and other low growing plants listed elsewhere (Pratt, 2011)
