A resident species, occurring sparingly in most places, although often fairly common to common at mv light along woodland rides, and in lanes and bushy places near Brighton, Friston and at Ebernoe Common. Widespread but very local in numbers. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid-April to late May. Larvae feed on bedstraw. (Pratt, 2011)
