A resident species and suspected immigrant, usually occurring sparingly but is occasionally fairly common by day and at mv light in woodland rides in East Sussex. Presumed extinct in West Sussex. Double-brooded flying early May to late June and again mid July to late August. Larvae feed on rosebay willowherb. (Pratt, 2011)
