Nationally Scarce B

A decreasing resident in danger of extinction with records now only from the Lewes area. In recent years it has only been detected from the best quality chalk downland in the county. It is a Nationally Notable B moth and is single-brooded, flying mainly from mid May to late June, occasionally from the third week of April. The larval foodplant has not been recorded in Sussex but is unspecified grasses elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011).
