A widespread resident that usually occurs singly or sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats. It is sometimes fairly common amongst light woodland at Chichester and Arundel and on the vegetated shingle beach at Rye. It is single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to early September, occasionally from the second week of June or to late September. The larvae feed on unspecified mosses growing on old walls. (Pratt, 2011).
