Local

A resident species that is widespread in the far west of the county but only patchily distributed elsewhere. It is sometimes fairly common to common at mv light in coastal salt marshes and vegetated shingle beaches, but less frequent elsewhere. It is single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of July to late August, occasionally to the third week of September. The larval foodplant in not known in Sussex but is listed elsewhere as unspecified grasses. (Pratt, 2011).
