Phycitodes saxicola (Vaughan, 1870)
Small Clouded Knot-horn
62.0590 (B&F: 1484)
A resident currently known from a few coastal sites, rarely found more than half a mile from the seashore. It usually occurs singly, sometimes sparingly at mv light on vegetated shingle beaches, amongst sand-dunes and in salt-marshes. It is apparently single-brooded flying mainly from the second week of June to early September. The larvae feed on Compositae but this has still to be proved in Sussex. (Pratt, 2011).
