Common

A resident that usually occurs singly at mv light but it is fairly common flying naturally during the evening in a few places across the county. It is episodically double-brooded, the first appearing mainly from early May to the third week of June, sometimes there is a second emergence from late July to late August. The larvae are said to feed inside the stems of thistles and greater knapweed. (Pratt, 2011).
