Status and ecology:
National Status: Common
A resident species occurring singly at mv light in a few places in East Sussex; in danger of extinction in West Sussex and only known from Walberton. Single or double brooded, flying mainly during June and August. Larvae feed on the shoots of hawthorn, rowan, and common whitebeam, although none of this has been confirmed in Sussex. (Pratt, 2011).
